International Congress for Biomed and Biotech 2024 affiliated to AASM

The International Congress for Biomed and Biotech provided a scientific platform for researchers and professionals to present and exchange knowledge across biomedical sciences, biotechnology, and related fields. Hosted in Tehran, Iran, the congress was conducted in a hybrid format, enabling participation through both in-person and online channels. The online platform was provided by Wolters Kluwer, supporting virtual access to the congress and its scientific contributions.

The congress abstracts were published in the Biomedical and Biotechnology Research Journal (BBRJ), Volume 8, Abstract Supplement, in July 2024. The supplement documents a diverse range of research topics, reflecting the multidisciplinary scope of the event and the relevance of biomedical and biotechnological research to contemporary scientific and healthcare challenges.

The presented research covered several areas, including infectious diseases, molecular biology, genetics, clinical medicine, dentistry, public health, and research ethics. Topics included exosomal microRNAs in tuberculosis, antibiotic susceptibility in Helicobacter pylori, genetic factors associated with diabetes, oral health, sarcoidosis and tuberculosis, HIV-related hematological parameters, and the development of bioartificial liver systems. Other contributions addressed generic medicine substitution, healthcare needs among older adults, mask use, and preparedness for infectious disease threats.

By bringing together research from different biomedical disciplines, the congress offered an opportunity to communicate scientific findings, discuss emerging challenges, and encourage interdisciplinary exchange. Its hybrid format also provided an avenue for broader access to scientific presentations beyond the physical venue in Tehran.

The publication of the abstracts in BBRJ established a scholarly record of the congress contributions and made the presented research accessible to the journal’s readership. Overall, the congress highlighted the breadth of ongoing work in biomedical and biotechnological research and the importance of scientific communication, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination in advancing research and healthcare
